Deen Lantern — Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Deen Lantern is built to respect your privacy. This policy describes what data the app uses and how.
What we collect
Location: When you tap “Use my location” in the app, your device’s location is used to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction. This happens entirely on your device. The location is only sent over the network to aladhan.com, a public API that provides prayer time calculations, and only at the moment you fetch prayer times. We do not store your location on any server, and we do not link it to your identity.
Diagnostics: Apple automatically collects anonymous crash reports and performance data from apps. We use this only to fix bugs. This data is not linked to your identity.
What we don’t collect
We do not collect: your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, browsing history, advertising identifiers, health data, financial data, or anything else not listed above. We have no user accounts. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Third parties
The only third-party service the app contacts is aladhan.com, used to fetch prayer times based on your location. See https://aladhan.com/privacy-policy for their privacy policy.
Children
This app is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
